Sonja is the senior vice president and head of Private Equity Fund Services at Artex Capital Solutions. She has an experience of 18 years in PE and hedge fund administration and joined Artex in 2012. She manages our PE team, which provides our global clients with best-in-class-fund administration services. Her responsibilities include oversight of financial and investor reporting, technical specialties such as modelling carried interest and distribution calculations, investor equalizations and key performance metrics.
Sonja has in-depth experience working on PAXUS and Allvue platforms and has worked on funds in the venture capital, buyout, fund of funds and hybrid structures. She has serviced clients across international jurisdictions with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) reporting and administered funds through their entire life cycles, from fund launches through to dissolutions.
Before joining Artex, Sonja worked at J.P. Morgan Administration Services (Bermuda) and Citi Hedge Fund Services. She graduated with a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of the West Indies, is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and CPA Bermuda member. She gained her professional certification under Coopers and Lybrand, John Hunt & Co.
