Fund Services Team

Brian is the managing director of Artex Fund Services, part of Artex Capital Solutions. He's in charge of Artex's fund administration operations and oversees services provided to funds investing in a wide range of strategies, including ILSs, PE and hedge funds. With the support of Artex's executive management team, Brian is also responsible for developing and executing the Administrator's corporate strategic initiatives. He was also one of the principal founders, a director and COO/CFO of Artex Fund Services.

Brian has more than 25 years of fund administration and audit experience. Prior to setting up the Administrator, Brian was the Bermuda country head at Citigroup Fund Services (Bermuda) Ltd., where oversaw the fund accounting, shareholder services, audit and NAV preparation for global clients. He also managed all new client implementations from an operational perspective and for establishing standards, controls and procedures for all North American operations.

Sally is the executive vice president of Fund Services at Artex Capital Solutions. She manages and oversees the PE, Hedge Funds, ILS Funds and Investor Services groups. She assists with the initial onboarding of new clients and leads the product development initiatives and oversees their successful implementation within the fund services group.

Sally brings more than 12 years of experience in fund administration, having started at Artex in 2012 (formerly known as IKONIC and Horseshoe Fund Services). She has had exposure to funds in all stages of their lifecycle, from pre-launch through to liquidation, and has worked on a variety of complex fund structures onshore, offshore and cross border. Sally has in-depth experience of providing a full range of fund accounting and administration services as well as advising clients on best practices.

Before joining Artex, Sally was at J.P. Morgan Administration Services (Bermuda) and also worked with Pricewaterhouse Coopers in the Bermuda and in the UK. Sally graduated from the University of Exeter with a BA (Hons.) in Accounting and Finance. She's a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA) and is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) in Bermuda.

Jason is the senior vice president, head of Hedge Fund Services at Artex Capital Solutions. He manages an international team of accountants and is responsible for providing fund accounting services to a portfolio of clients. As part of this role, Jason builds and manages rewarding long-term client relationships, oversees the work of staff accountants, and prepares and analyzes financial statements. Jason has a wealth of experience working with hedge funds, funds of funds, PE funds, and various forms of equities and derivatives.

Jason joined Artex in September 2013 and has 16 years of experience in alternative investment accounting. Before joining Artex, Jason was at JD Clark & Company (now UMB Fund Services), another fund administrator based in Ogden, Utah. He graduated from the University of Utah with a B.Sc. in Accounting and received a Master of Business Administration from Brigham Young University.

Sonja is the senior vice president and head of Private Equity Fund Services at Artex Capital Solutions. She has an experience of 18 years in PE and hedge fund administration and joined Artex in 2012. She manages our PE team, which provides our global clients with best-in-class-fund administration services. Her responsibilities include oversight of financial and investor reporting, technical specialties such as modelling carried interest and distribution calculations, investor equalizations and key performance metrics.

Sonja has in-depth experience working on PAXUS and Allvue platforms and has worked on funds in the venture capital, buyout, fund of funds and hybrid structures. She has serviced clients across international jurisdictions with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) reporting and administered funds through their entire life cycles, from fund launches through to dissolutions.

Gordon is the senior vice president of fund accounting at Artex Capital Solutions. His responsibilities include managing a team of fund accountants and a number of client relationships. In addition to reviewing NAV calculations and ensuring client deliverables are met, he manages fund launches and the implementation of new clients. He has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 19 years in fund administration.

Gordon joined Artex (formerly known as Horseshoe Fund Services group) in September 2017 as a group manager with overall responsibility for managing staff that provided fund accounting services to a portfolio of clients. Prior to joining Horseshoe, Gordon was head of operations for Equinoxe AIS (Bermuda) Ltd (2012-2017), where he managed the fund accounting and investor services operations for both traditional hedge and ILS Funds. Before Equinoxe, he worked at Citi Hedge Fund Services Ltd (2004-2012) as assistant vice president within the Fund Accounting department.

Alicia is the senior vice president, head of Investor Services at Artex Capital Solutions. She's responsible for managing the Investor Services team along with responsibility for client servicing, investor reporting services across all our fund services clients and overseeing regulatory reporting requirements.

Alicia has an experience of 23 years in fund administration and joined Artex in 2022. She has experience in providing FATCA, CRS, Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Bly Sky reporting and AML/ Anti-Terrorist Financing (ATF) regulatory compliance services to hedge fund, PE and ILS fund structures. She's involved in fund launches and implementation of new clients, including the setup of all transfer agency records and the review of offering documents.
